Woah, that’s a seriously good way to start a morning. Sometimes a car is so cool you have to stop even if you’ll be late. I stopped in the middle of a doordash delivery to check out an illegal Nissan Skyline GTR R34 even though the app sent me a sternly worded form letter afterwards. It was worth it.
The Sera is such a little oddball. It really pulls off that gold color well. I’m kind of surprised that it doesn’t seem that much smaller than the Dart next to it.

I’d take a Sera over a GTR any day. It’s so quirky and mechanicals don’t seem too hard to obtain. I actually got to drive one when I was in HS. So cool for a pretty mundane car.
My Dad was a designer for FoMoCo and they had one as an evaluation vehicle. Back in those days, he would just toss me the keys to most everything he brought home .
Best cars he brought home were: Peugeot 405 Ti16, Sierra 3 door (not the Cossie), Escort RS Cossie, FC RX7 convertible, Mercury Capri (the ugly Aussie built one) painted in a prototype yellow, Porsche 911 Carrera 4, Toyota Celica GT4, JDM
Mazda 929.
I couldn’t drive the Carrera 4 he brought home by myself but we did go for a few rips on the expressway together.
That treat came to a screeching halt when some exec’s kid crashed something.

We have quite a lot of weird JDM cars in Finland but I have never seen a Sera here. I guess it’s the lack power (no 2JZ) or cuteness (it’s not a F igaro) to attract importers. Those headlight would likely be very troublesome to convert to be road legal here.
